Planning your visit

At Baz we understand the time and effort involved in organising a school trip so we are especially pleased that you have chosen to bring your students to watch our production of Prophesy. We are committed to making exciting and inspiring theatre that is accessible to young people of all ages. Please read the following information and advice to help make your visit a safe and enjoyable one.

Timing

Please ensure that your party arrives at least 20 minutes early so that you have enough time to use the toilets and find your seats. There will be a small exhibition for you to look around prior to the performance and during the interval. In the event that you are running late, please contact the venue on 020 7739 9551. Baz Productions reserves the right to refuse entry to the building to latecomers. Latecomers may be asked to wait until a suitable break in the performance for admittance to the auditorium.

Ensure a good Pupil: Adult ratio

A ratio of 10 pupils to 1 teacher/adult helper is required in the interest of health and safety.

We also insist that all adults are dispersed amongst the group during the performance to ensure that the entire group is properly supervised, and recommend that each adult is given responsibility for 10 specific pupils. Tickets for Prophesy offer free teacher places for every 10 bought.

Age restrictions

This production of Prophesy is suitable for students aged 14 and above as it tackles adult themes and subject matter and may contain language that some may find offensive.

A Gentle Reminder

  • Please remind students to turn off their mobile phones and any other electronic devices before they enter the auditorium.
  • Food and drink are not permitted in the auditorium. Drinks can be purchased during the interval and need to be consumed in the foyer as audience will at times be required to move around the space.
  • Lastly, as Prophesy is has a small cast and audience members are seated very near to the audience, we ask you to emphasise to your group that any unnecessary noise during the performance such as chatting and coughing is not acceptable. Our ushers will be present throughout the performance and any customers causing unnecessary disruptions will be warned by an usher that their behaviour is inappropriate; should the behaviour continue they may be asked to leave. We would advise that you plan for this in your risk assessment.
  • Please also note that there is no re-admittance to the auditorium once the performance has started.

We hope that you enjoy your trip to see Prophesy and please don’t forget that our staff are on hand to help at any point and to make this a safe and enjoyable trip for you.

If you have any queries regarding the above guidelines, please don’t hesitate to contact caroline@bazproductions.co.uk.
